Myself Lalita kumari from Himachal Pradesh. Last year in March i faced a problem related to my knee joint. I was suffering from severe knee pain then i firstly visited my home town hospital. They told that it could be cancer, you should go to another hospital. Hearing cancer, I started feeling a bit scared. We went to Shimla. The doctors there advised to go to Chandigarh. Then I consulted the doctors of PGI Chandigarh, they called it normal. Then one person told me to get check up at (GMCH) sector 32 chandigarh. There i showed them x-ray and CT scan report then they told me that need to do biopsy in may.And when report came they told me that everything is normal and gave me operation date in August 2018. when i came again to get operated then after admitting they told that your tumor is looking confusing and need to do biopsy again, and when again report came they told that again everything is ok and again gave me operation date of 1st November 2018.When I went to the hospital for operation, they advised me to CT scan, Seeing the reports, the doctors said that the bone has become hollow. I was surprised to hear all this. The only question in my mind was what happened to me? But then i realizes that need to have check up at better hospital Because i wasted 10 months already. Then my brother talked to Mr.Rajat Gupta..On 3rd November 2018 we went to Fortis hospital. Where we met Dr. Rajat Gupta he told us that this is not normal. He suggested to have biopsy and after biopsy he suggested me to have operation and in operation there is need to replace the knee joint.initially i was afraid when i saw my report it was bone cancer of high grade then he gave me courage and supported me gave assurance to cure me. Before operation he suggested me to have 2 cycles of chemotherapy.I did not want to take chemotherapy because my daughter was 2 years old and my husband was in abroad. There was no family support either. One of the reasons for not having chemotherapy was that I did not want to lose my hair. Every girl loves her hair very much. The doctor persuaded me to give treatment after explaining it a lot. After chemo he saw my reports and suggested me to get operated, but before operation he told me that the main blood vein was close to tumor and there is chance to cut the foot if that nerve got damaged during operation but he operated so well. After operation he again suggested me to have at least 4 cycles of chemo then i followed his instruction and now in present time i am feeling very well. Now I walk like a normal person, do all the work.
Thanx to Mr. Rajat gupta for motivating me everytime and being so nice everytime .Being in a hospital is a terrible experience, but you made me feel like home. Your caring and extra effort to make your patient comfortable is truly remarkable.
You’ve been such a kind and caring doctor for me during my time of need. Thank you for doing everything that you do and helping me during a hard time. THANKS a lot again
