My wife was detected with merkel cell carcinoma in August 2019 it was a small sub cutaneous tumor on the right side of the stomach wall. It was removed at the PGI and we were told after three months revisit and lymph node biopsy that all is okay and you dont need radiation or chemotherapy but in July she had a severe pain in her upper right arm. On PET scan it was found that the disease had metastasized to upper humerus bone of the right arm .we immediately approached the PGI but they were sticking to the Covid protocol and referring one department to the other on a desperate attempt to get connected with the doctor at PGI (as we all shun private or corporate hospitals ) a resident doctor suggested me about Dr Rajat Gupta. Despite being a Sunday he agreed to meet us at his clinic an with elaborate explanations and with a clear analysis and context of the problem he went for a successful surgery. He is highly competent and extremely professional we cant be in better hands.
Dr. Rajat did my surgery on my left leg. I felt good with his care and i feel that he is a excellent doctor and orthopaedic surgeon. I was suffering from GCT. At first, it was mild pain and i thought it will go on its own. But the time passes, the pain increases day by day. At the end, my situation is very bad and i have to thought 100 times before walk. I visited the orthopaedic doctor in my city and he recommended me to visit Dr. Rajat Gupta.
Dr. Gupta told me that it is a critical situation and don’t take it lightly. He suggested me operation as early as possible. After that i got two surgeries on my leg. First surgery didn’t go well due to covid pandemic but second surgery was successful. I go through the surgeries 07 months ago, before posting this review.
Now i can walk and able to run.
If anyone has this kind of problem, take it seriously.
I had pain in my right hand from past one year and I went too many doctors they were not guiding me properly then I decided to go to Chandigarh and there I met Dr Rajat Gupta and then I told him about my problem then he suggested me for MRI ,CT scan and xray of my right hand and then in the report osteoid osteoma is found out and then he decided for surgery of my right hand and now after surgery my hand it is not paining at all thanks to Dr Rajat Gupta
Dr Rajat Gupta is the best doctor that I have met in My Life he is very polite and caring at Last thank you Dr Rajat Gupta
Dr. Rajet Gupta is one of the best orthopedic oncosurgeon I have came across. He listens patiently and guides the treatment in a very simple and smooth manner. He is friendly and the confidence he gave to us was incredible.
My uncle was diagnosed bone cancer (Chondrosarcoma) in left proximal tibia in june 2020. We were shocked at that time and visited many doctors in our state j&k. We almost lost two months.then one of our relative doctor recommended us Dr. Rajet gupta . I contacted doctor and send him reports of my uncle .after then we visited chandigarh and met dr rajet gupta. finally after getting all the tests done the operation was done on 15 august 2020. Alhamdulillah operation was a success. The very next day Dr. Rajat made him to start walking with a walker. Then after 6 days we were discharged from hospital . Then we stayed a month in chandigarh to frequently visit dr. Gupta. It has been almost 4 months now my uncle is walking normally without any support. We recently visted dr rajet gupta for check up and everything look great.
Thank you Dr. Rajat Gupta you for all that you did for my uncle.
I would surely recommend Dr. Rajet Gupta to all who needs .I have full confidence in him.
My father is 73 years old and retired from government service. He started complaining of pain and swelling in his right knee from March 2020. He started treatment from local orthopaedic doctor, but his pain started worsening over a period of time. He could not sleep for nights because of the pain and the swelling kept on increasing. The doctor advised him for MRI. The MRI report suggested some malignancy in lower end of right femur. We got his biopsy done from a surgical oncologist and the report suggested it is a case of Osteosarcoma. I started searching for a good orthopaedic oncologist on net. I shortlisted two doctors and finally decided to consult Dr. Rajat Gupta. I had a phone call with him and forwarded all the reports to him. He advised us to have a PET scan and meet him in his clinic.PET scan showed malignancy in the lower end of right femur only. Dr. Rajat Gupta, a thorough gentleman, having complete knowledge of his subject and clear in his mind how to proceed suggested my father to have a limb salvage surgery in which the affected part of bone will be removed and replaced by a megaprosthesis. Finally after getting all the preliminary tests and scans done the date for operation was fixed on 7th of August 2020 at Fortis Mohali. The operation continued throughout the day and father came out of the OT around 4 pm. The operation was a success. The very next day Dr. Rajat made him to start walking with a walker. After a stay of about 5 days at the hospital, he was discharged. Under the guidance of Dr. Rajat and with his strong willpower my father kept on improving and started walking normally without any support. Dr. Rajat then guided us to consult one of his colleagues who is a medical oncologist and go for chemotherapy. My father underwent six cycles of chemotherapy and has just recently completed them. On every cycle of chemotherapy Dr. Rajat gave a personal visit to see his progress.
In the end I would like to say that I have no words how to describe Dr. Rajat Gupta because throughout the treatment and now also he has responded each and everytime I have asked him for suggestions regarding my father's treatment.
Any person having any type of bone related tumor kindly give one try to Dr. Rajat Gupta, you won't repent. This is my sincere advice.
Doctor extraordinary, humble and caring as well. If you are dignosed of any kind of Bone sarcoma, you won't get a better choice than Dr.Rajat Gupta to treat you fully. Blessings and more power to you Respected Doctor.
Highly skilled and thorough knwoledge about every aspect of bone cancer. I will recommend every bone cancer patient to visit him once before embarking upon any treatment.
My nephew was diagnosed of Osteosarcoma in right proximal tibia. I was too worried for him and googled for best orthopedic oncologist in North India. To our good luck, we came to know about Revered and Respected Dr. Rajat Gupta. As soon as I approached Dr. Rajat Gupta, he assured me that everything will be fine in course of time. Now we had financial problems. To manage the expensive treatment was beyond our financial position, but the humble human and gem of a person, known by the name of Dr. Rajat Gupta became our Savior. Referred us to DMC Ludhiana where chemotherapy was given to my nephew at a little expense of our own and after that Dr.Rajat Gupta performed the surgery of Megaprostheses (knee implant), reconstruction and skin grafting without any expenditure of our own at Chandigarh Healing Hospital . The surgery is a successful one and my nephew is recovering. I owe my highest gratitude to Dr. Rajat alongside Dr. Shruti Kakkar (DMC Ludhiana) and of course the NGO CanKids.
A mere review on Google is not enough to describe the undisputedly best orthopedic oncologist, rather I would like to write a book on the extraordinary human, who upholds humanity above all other things.
Thank you Dr. Rajat Gupta And a big Salute to you for all that you did for my beloved nephew.
Covid has disrupted our lives in so many ways but that's what led us to our very first meeting with dr rajat gupta and outcome of the case changed totally.
My father was diagnosed with bone cancer(left leg joint) back in march 2020. As usual chemotherapy was planned.(I got in touch with the families of cancer patients who went thru chemo and advised us not to do so because of the aftermath). So we went for alternative therapies instead for about three months but swelling and pain Increased during that period . In June we went thru first cycle of chemo . In MRI it clearly showed cancer has spread and doctors told us leg has to be amputated to stop the spread. Hearing that we went for ayurvedic medicine promised to cure the cancer but all in vain.
July25th my father got major fracture on joint and it's just impossible to even move the leg. Pain and suffering was just enormous when we showed up in Dr Rajat office Fortis mohali. Very next day he got the MRI done and told us there is high possibility of saving the leg.
Operation was a success, my father's came out of the OT with leg intact not only that as promised by Dr rajat he was walking on the second day. Months of pain and suffering just vanished in a week or so.
Involvement and dedication that Dr rajat shows is touching In so many ways.
Sometimes life get hard but if you are willing to strive enough there is always a way out.
Thanks Dr Rajat gupta.
Very nice and cooperative staff. Quick service and wonderful treatment done by Dr. Rajat. Kudos.
I would like to share my experience with Dr rajat Gupta. I live in Ludhiana and i am 26 years old. I am a patient with fibrous dysplasia in my right femur (Thigh bone) since 2015. I have been wrongly diagnosed since the start of my injury by top doctors in my city. I had to get my biopsy done as i had unbearable pain in my leg in 2015. I was told by senior doctors of my city that i had an anerysmal bone cyst in my right femur which I recently figured with the consultation from Dr Rajat Gupta(after four years) that i had Fibrous Displasia instead of the bone cyst. Last year I fractured my femur in September 2019. At the time, I was studying abroad and had my fracture there so I had my surgery there in September 2019 and came back home in Ludhiana India in October 2019 to recover. I had gone to all the best known Orthopedics doctors in my city again for the next few months and they all suggested me to get another surgery done as my fracture was not healing according to them. I was using the walker( support) to walk with almost putting no pressure on my injured leg for atleast 6 months suggested by the doctors. In February 2020, just to get another advice i went to see Dr Rajat Gupta to see if i could have an alternative instead of another surgery. Dr Gupta not only told me to not go through another surgery, he made me walk right in his clinic in that appointment as my bone was healed enough to walk properly. I could not believe it as the doctors in my city were not bold or were afraid of another fracture. Its been 4 months now, I am walking properly without any support, my fracture has almost healed fully. This was a miracle advice to be honest as i was so depressed when i heard i had to get another surgery done and had to sit on the bed for many more months. I am glad I went to see Dr Gupta that day and since it has been complete turn of events for me. I would highly recommend Dr Gupta.
He is done miracle for us very helpful person .
Second face of God .thnx sir
Highly impressed with the skills of Dr. Rajat Gupta. My mother (cancer patient)was operated for hip implant and she started walking the very next morning. Highly amazing. Very courteous, intelligent and supportive Doctor ever met.
Greatly impressed with skills and approach of Dr Rajat Gupta. My cousin had cancer in the thigh bone and was advised cutting of leg by many bone doctors. He gave us confidence that with new surgical techniques leg can be saved. He not only explained about the disease and treatment in detail but also made us meet with his previous patients.
After 6-7 hour long surgery my cousin was made to walk the very next day. Now he's able to do everything like any normal person.
Thank you dr rajat for giving a new life to mo my cousin
Dr Rajat Gupta is a compassionate, with great technical skills and highly professional reliable, keeping abreast with latest medical knowledge and technologies, especially in the field of orthopaedic oncology. We had a really wonderful experience with him during surgery for tumor in knee of my mother. He is very punctal and caring. I wholeheartedly recommend Dr Rajat Gupta for orthopaedic oncology cases.
Hi Friends,Iam Mandeep from Mohali,I will surely recommend Dr Rajat Gupta for Bone Tumor treatment, personal experiance.
Very polite and understanding Doctor.
Thanks to sir for their perfect advice and treatment, I'm walking on my own feet right now
Dr. Rajat Gupta is a thorough professional in the field of Orthopedic Oncology. His down to earth attitude, politeness, and willingness to listen to you is really laudable. Always approachable and a kindhearted human. Had a very good experience of visiting him for my 7 year old daughter's diagnosis. Would highly recommend him for ortho onco related problems...
Genuine and Best in his field (bone cancer tumour). Senior doctors from city whom I have consulted before Dr. Rajat were also taking advice from him to treat my condition.
Not only he helped me to get rid of tumour but also helped me to deal with trauma n post surgery care. Positive , energetic and knowledgeable.
Myself Lalita kumari from Himachal Pradesh. Last year in March i faced a problem related to my knee joint. I was suffering from severe knee pain then i firstly visited my home town hospital. They told that it could be cancer, you should go to another hospital. Hearing cancer, I started feeling a bit scared. We went to Shimla. The doctors there advised to go to Chandigarh. Then I consulted the doctors of PGI Chandigarh, they called it normal. Then one person told me to get check up at (GMCH) sector 32 chandigarh. There i showed them x-ray and CT scan report then they told me that need to do biopsy in may.And when report came they told me that everything is normal and gave me operation date in August 2018. when i came again to get operated then after admitting they told that your tumor is looking confusing and need to do biopsy again, and when again report came they told that again everything is ok and again gave me operation date of 1st November 2018.When I went to the hospital for operation, they advised me to CT scan, Seeing the reports, the doctors said that the bone has become hollow. I was surprised to hear all this. The only question in my mind was what happened to me? But then i realizes that need to have check up at better hospital Because i wasted 10 months already. Then my brother talked to Mr.Rajat Gupta..On 3rd November 2018 we went to Fortis hospital. Where we met Dr. Rajat Gupta he told us that this is not normal. He suggested to have biopsy and after biopsy he suggested me to have operation and in operation there is need to replace the knee joint.initially i was afraid when i saw my report it was bone cancer of high grade then he gave me courage and supported me gave assurance to cure me. Before operation he suggested me to have 2 cycles of chemotherapy.I did not want to take chemotherapy because my daughter was 2 years old and my husband was in abroad. There was no family support either. One of the reasons for not having chemotherapy was that I did not want to lose my hair. Every girl loves her hair very much. The doctor persuaded me to give treatment after explaining it a lot. After chemo he saw my reports and suggested me to get operated, but before operation he told me that the main blood vein was close to tumor and there is chance to cut the foot if that nerve got damaged during operation but he operated so well. After operation he again suggested me to have at least 4 cycles of chemo then i followed his instruction and now in present time i am feeling very well. Now I walk like a normal person, do all the work.
Thanx to Mr. Rajat gupta for motivating me everytime and being so nice everytime .Being in a hospital is a terrible experience, but you made me feel like home. Your caring and extra effort to make your patient comfortable is truly remarkable.
You’ve been such a kind and caring doctor for me during my time of need. Thank you for doing everything that you do and helping me during a hard time. THANKS a lot again
In August 2016, I was diagnosed with Giant Cell Tumor(GCT) of Pelvis bone which was first removed by a false surgery by a doctor but recurred again in 2017. One of family friend Dr suggested us to meet Dr Rajat Gupta at Fortis Hospital,Chandigarh. Dr Rajat Gupta saw my reports and review of biopsy blocks confirmed the recurrence of GCT. I again underwent surgery by Dr Rajat. Now, i m recovering and it has happened only because of Dr Rajat. After consulting with him I felt calm and confident that all would be okay. His willingness to discuss/explain everything gave me a sense of peace and enabled me to continue to be strong.
His skill, knowledge and positive outlook played a major role in my recovering so well and so quickly. I truly feel that I was blessed to find myself placed in his more than capable hands. I am sure will be fine and running soon.
Dear all
I highly recommend Dr Rajat Gupta for his honesty , intelligent advice and keen observation with knowlege , which is very important for being a good doctor..
Literally speaking , doctors like him are afew...he is humble, cool and most IMPORTANTLY a VERY GOOD DOCTOR.
He told me same thing in his first consultation which doctors at other hospitals took days to conclude. May almighty bless him and give him success and prosperity.
Dr Rajat is a very good and humble doctor. My wife has Fibrous dysplasia and before meeting Dr. Rajat we visited a couple of top hospitals in the tricity but we were not getting any postivie feedback from doctors. We were so stressed and totally hopeless but after meeting him we are back in the life. we are in touch with him for the last 2+ years and everything is going very good. He treats us so nicely and very caring.
Fibrous dysplasia is a very rare bone disease and there are a very few experienced Orthopaedic Oncologist available in the tricity who knows about this disease. If anyone is looking for a good doctor for FD i suggest you meet him once.
Very polite dr...
And really amazing recovery
Thank you
We had a wonderful experience with Dr Gupta. He is the only orthopedic surgeon trained in oncology in the area and that’s why we went to see him. Dealing with cancer is stressful, but the way Dr Gupta treated my grandmother was excellent in every way. I feel very comfortable trusting him with her life. He is compassionate, well educated, personable and I would wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone seeking orthopedic care.
We just got back from the fortis hospital today after taking consultation from Dr Rajat Gupta....mark my words by god swear he is the best doctor in Chandigarh or maybe in India. He was so humble and kind.May god bless him and his family. He is so young but very intelligent 😊Thank you Sir 🙏
Very humble & knowledgeable doctor. Must visit even if your doctor does not recommend. Most of doctors does not refer to super specialist for orthopedic oncologist. We just visited him after searching on internet and found our wisest decision of life. Where other doctors told to keep bearing knee pain and always recommend pain killers, he suspected sarcoma and did biopsy and other tests. He found sort of bone cancer which had not spread and recommended surgery. It was hard to believe but he told the entire sequence and pattern of pain and took us in confidence. After surgery now not only relieved from pain but also able to walk/run like earlier. Does not misguide. Must visit, if you have any continuous pain or something came in biopsy.
"Best orthopaedic oncologist in India. He is only doctor who exclusively deals with bone cancer. He makes his patients comfortable and explain disease and treatment. Best doctor"
Very knowledgeable, intelligent and showed lot of patience while answering all my questions. Dr. Rajat Gupta, by far the best oncologist in town. Highly recommended!!
I have studied with Dr Rajat and seen him doing work. He is an expert. When my aunt needed surgery of right leg tumor, I trusted him. He did a marvellous job. She is walking and happy. I recommend him to every patient who is suffering from bone tumor.
He is one among rarest doctors who entirely focus on patient and make
every effort to cure them.
He himself discuss with other doctors if he see any impact in any
other part of body.
Great Doctor, must visit if you have any bone cancer related complaint.
Bestest doctor n consultant i hav met in my lyf...May U succeed more in lyf..
Dr Rajat Gupta is Excellent doctor for bone cancer.
and its conculsion may going to cut my left hand.
but Dr. Rajat Gupta has saved my left hand with his expert knowledge.
I realy appreciate his work.
""""May God Bless You Doctor"""
We were so scared by other doctors that bone tumour is non curable and with operation doctor has to cut the leg after knee for my mother. While searching on internet we found about Dr. Rajat Gupta, he not only explained us everything in detail but also he guaranteed that bone tumour is fully curable without any loss of body part.
Earlier, it was hard to believe as we have seen 3-4 best orthopaedics, however Dr. Rajat's specilization and he provided examples of other similar patients make us believe. As he promised he delivered. Now my mother is 100% fine. He only took all pain. He is the only doctor on whose advise you can believe, he himself consult with other doctors, if required.
In my case, we consulted Dr. Rajat Gupta at last moment when there was no hope, but recomend to consult him as early as possible. It will not only save your time but also lot of money, as he gives personal attention to each patient. Just one caution, dont go by his age, he is too young, but he is best.
My father was diagnosed with GCT(DER) left arm in 2016 which reoccured twice.he underwent 3 surgeries.later,he lost hope and was depressed and not willing for any further surgery.in 2019 was referred to Dr Rajat Gupta, bone cancer clinic, highly qualified expert in his specialty and a skilled surgeon.he is a very good listener and counseller, empathetic to the concerns of pt.,takes time to clear their doubts.Since one and half year my father is absolutely fine, able to perform activities of daily life very well, drive and can even lift heavy weights.I'm grateful to Sir and highly recommend him.

Very polite and caring doctor. Highly recommend Dr Rajat Gupta.
