I am Karampal Singh, 46 year old resident of Nabha, Punjab. I had bone tumour and would like to share my story.
I suffered fall from bike and developed swelling in my Right wrist. Local Doctor did an X-ray and applied plaster for 6 weeks. After 6 weeks, when plaster was removed the swelling had increased quite a bit and there was no relief from pain either. I showed to another orthopaedic surgeon who after doing my Xrays diagnosed me to be having a bone tumour of the wrist and advised cutting the hand.
Then I consulted Dr Rajat Gupta at Chandigarh who after seeing my Xrays and MRI did biopsy from the swelling with a needle in his OPD and made diagnosis of Giant Cell Tumour. He told me that my hand can be saved and started me on Denosumab ( Drug for this disease). After 1 month, he operated on me and saved my hand with his expert knowledge. Now, I am back to work doing all my activities.
DOCTOR REMARKS:
Mr Karampal Singh had Giant Cell Tumour of Right Distal Radius who underwent Wide resection Distal Radius with Ulnar Translocation after Denosumab Therapy. Currently, patient is fine back to his routine.
